What are tiger stripes, and why won't they come off?
Tiger stripes are the dark vertical streaks on the outside face of your gutters. They form when dirty runoff from your roof spills over the lip and bonds to the painted aluminum. Over time it bakes on, and a hose or a regular power wash won't budge it.
Gutter brightening uses a cleaner made for this job and good old-fashioned scrubbing. We work each section by hand, rinse it clean, and leave the paint intact. White gutters look white again, and dark gutters get their colour back.
It's one of the cheapest ways to make a house look freshly updated from the street, and it's easy to add to a gutter cleaning or siding soft wash.

Gutter Brightening questions
Will gutter brightening damage the paint?
No. We use a cleaner that's safe for painted aluminum gutters and a soft scrub. It's the gentle way to get the stripes off without stripping the finish.
How long do results last?
The stripes build up again slowly as runoff spills over the edge, so it's usually years before they're noticeable again. Keeping your gutters clean inside slows it down.
Can I book it with gutter cleaning?
Yes, and most people do. We clean out the inside, then brighten the outside in the same visit.
Why won't pressure washing get rid of the stripes?
The staining is bonded to the paint, not sitting on top of it. It needs the right cleaner and some scrubbing to lift it. Blasting it with high pressure mostly just risks damaging the gutter.
